8 Cozy Inns Perfect for a Vermont Winter Getaway

Vermont winter getaways are all about curling up by the fire with a good book or glass of red wine after a day outdoors. Whether you plan to ski, snowshoe, or shop in Vermont, a stay at a local inn can make your trip all the more memorable and enjoyable. Here are eight Vermont inns that will leave you feeling warm and cozy this winter.

Inn at Manchester

In the heart of Manchester is this lovely inn that was recently purchased by Brian Maggiotto and his wife Gabriella Torres. With 21 luxurious guest rooms—including 12 suites—a cozy pub, and multiple common area rooms to kick back and relax, the inn is an ideal spot for a romantic getaway or trip with friends. Bromley Mountain is just minutes away and local shops, outlets, and restaurants are within walking distance of the inn. (3967 Main St., Manchester; 802-362-1793; http://innatmanchester.com)

Blueberry Hill Inn in Goshen

Located in Vermont’s 16,000-acre Moosalamoo region, the Blueberry Hill Inn is just the place for a winter getaway. The 12-room secluded inn, complete with a restaurant and library, is home to the Outdoor Center, which includes 50 km of maintained trails for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing in some of Vermont’s most pristine wilderness. Ranked by Travel + Leisure as the #1 Top Resort Hotel in the Northeast, #3 Top Resort Hotel in the USA, and #27 of Top 100 Hotels in the World, Vermont’s Rabbit Hill Inn knows how to go above and beyond for their guests. Surrounded by 300 acres in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, the inn offers 24 rooms and suites in one of the most scenic settings in Vermont. The Wildflower Inn also serves as a hub for Kingdom Trails, an extensive trail system popular for fat biking, snowshoeing, and Nordic skiing in the winter. After a day on the trails, head over to Juniper’s restaurant at the inn, which serves up steaks, salads, burgers, pasta, and more. We love Vermont and have visited the Woodstock Inn twice this year – just a lovely place for family to gather – and the surrounding area is beautiful. We live in CT and visit the Newfane heritage festival yearly, as well as Scotts orchard nearby, and we also love Manchester. Looking forward to visiting more of the state, will follow along with your blog.
