Winter in Weston

I love a winter bluebird day as much as anyone, but there is something about a gray winter sky that is very comforting, too. Dave and I visited the town of Weston last weekend for a quiet getaway. I spent a little time photographing some places on Route 100 Sunday morning.

A view of the Old First Church.

Barn on Route 100.

  1. Such pretty images with the freshly fallen snow. I was in Quechee on Sunday. A pretty little town, though not as quaint as Rt. 100.

  2. Hi Sharon - Hope you are doing well. Quechee is nice, especially the Gorge. Route 100 is such a lovely route, and Weston is one of my favorite places.

  3. My sister and I are planning a trip to The King Arthur Store in April. I would also Like to stop and find a farm that might sell some goat cheese and famous Vermont cheddar. Maybe when it gets a little closer to the trip you could help me some suggestions. Gorgeous pictures as usual.

  4. Beautiful images! When I have visitors from abroad I often take them down Rte 100 - it's so picturesque.

  6. Hi Susan -- I love King Arthur Flour! You'll really enjoy it. I would be happy to help with some suggestions for your trip.

Hi Hilke -- Route 100 is amazing. I never grow tired of it.

Hi Tony -- Well, not quite. We got some nice, fluffy snow but it wasn't exactly the Valentine's Day storm of 2007 when we were hit with 3 feet of snow.
