Ski Season Comes to a Close, Almost
The ski season is winding down in Vermont, and by all accounts it was a good one. Even though the season got off to a late start, business was strong at resorts.
In some places, the ski season isn't over just yet. Jay Peak and Killington remain open after picking up a few inches of new snow over the weekend.

ReplyDeleteHi Rich,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. It must be whole different world up there in the mountains of Idaho! Never been, but would love to visit someday.
Stratton just sent us an email about the upcoming event they hold on Memorial Day weekend in the Sun Bowl. I guess they smear around all of the leftover snow from the slopestyle jumps and halfpipe from the US Open, and create a trail or two to slosh around on. Must be weird to ski almost in June. Of course, unless you live in Chile.
ReplyDeleteHi Baydog -- That must be weird, but fun!
ReplyDeleteI always like photos that show different seasons with the change in elevation
ReplyDeleteHi Matt,
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty nice this time of year to see the green grass against the melting snow in the mountains.
